Special Ledger-Enquirer
Nick Saban Alabama football coach spilled the beans a few weeks ago so the announcement on Thursday was rather a formality.
The Crimson Tide officially recognized its agreement to play Michigan in 2012 at a meeting of the competencies of traditional college football season opening.

It will be third neutral site starting from Alabama in a period of five years, beginning in 2008, when the tide played years back with back at Atlanta Georgia Dome against Clemson and Virginia Tech, respectively.A home with the San Jose State game opened the season 2010.Starter 2011 has been set, but is not expected to make a game site of neutral, with a road trip to Penn State, scheduled for next week.
Addition to play a game against an opponent renowned marquee, site-neutral games provide impetus for the involved schools recruitment.Programming of these games in talento-ricas as Texas and Atlanta areas is not a coincidence.
""It's exciting to announce two more tradición-ricos College football teams will meet in 2012,"au director Athletics Mal Moore said in the press release.""We have this huge respect for Michigan: your school, your pending tradition and its siguiente.Es an excellent opportunity for our student athletes and our comprehensive, apart from being a great benefit in the recruitment. yet program is another opportunity for our University exhibited on a national stage early in the season in a wonderful Stadium."
Reportedly, built at a cost of more than 1 billion dollars, the new Cowboys stadium opened last year and capacity for 80,000 spectators and has a screen of HDTV 160 by 72 feet which was the largest at the end of the world.
Alabama and Michigan have played three times, and the Wolverines have one advantage of 2-1. the most recent meeting came in 2000 Orange Bowl, where escaped Michigan with a 35-34 overtime victory in an extra point tidal lost.

Alabama football: Crimson Tide prepares for deceptive Mississippi State offense

TUSCALOOSA, wing. -N, registration is not wrong.

Mississippi State really is 7-2, with six straight WINS, heading at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night.

19 In the classification of BCS in the second year Dan Mullen, the Bulldogs era now found an edge using outdated principles with a twist again fangled.

Using some of the same ideology Mullen used as offensive coordinator in Florida when Tim Tebow made history, Mississippi State offense likes jogging, deceive and throw when you are not expecting.

What began as an offense two quarterback became the show Chris Relf, and Montgomery product knows how to run the ball.

Versus a quarterback Atlético creates several cuestiones.Se starts with search scout team member right to imitated Relf actions in a complete list of traditional drop-back walkers.Fortunately for Alabama coach Nick Saban, recruited an athlete offices of jack all in true rookie Blake Sims, who can play in high school and was a high school field marshal.

""(Sims) made a lot of these same types of plays in high school, has been the man that has been filled,"Saban said.""Phillip (Sims) does a good job of it too because he is very athletic and larger and more fuerte.Por what we have achieved a decent photo of in the past when we needed."

The average Bulldogs 218.7 yards per game on the ground for the third rank in the SEC and a set of step that is not quite the same level of support. On air, State of Mississippi is the team of 10-better statistically in SEC (164.6 yards per game) and 101 at the national level.

To the defence of tide known to stop the race will take an effort special Mullen acknowledged should come for the Bulldogs sábado.Trabajando is a scheme that borders defence which saw major breakdowns in the second half of the loss Alabama at LSU tests run.

Certainly, the Bulldogs, who had a bye week, saw and noted.

""You have to be a little creative to do that, and we are going to perform at a high level,"Mullen told reporters Monday in Starkville."When you run the football, error margin is lower.…When you run the football, has to be run at a very high level, and we are going to have great performance of our offensive line.

Alabama linebacker Hightower Dont' to know that deception is coming.

"Make a lot of things: a lot of sweet eyes" Hightower, said.

Includes the use of offensive linemen as decoys. Hightower says the Bulldogs will extract a guard in a pass from play-action as an example of a complex method of confusing defenses.

Running back Vick Ballard is the main threat of colymbia Mississippi State Defense with their pies.Ballard ranks seventh in SEC 77.4 yards per game and 6.7 yards per stroke.

"" I have great respect for Dixon (Anthony) last year in terms of being a physical support large, strong, by what I said to myself ' I am delighted that past that boy ', "Saban said.""The boys have to take it this year have ability really well, probably a little more speed and explosividad.Son in much of what would be called three-back racing".

Alabama football notes: Crimson Tide to wear special shirt Saturday

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama, Alabama running back Mark Ingram had a few steps in the media room on Tuesday evening, before we stopped and I watched.

Before was a mannequin wearing his Jersey does not.22 but not a traditional version Saturday attire of Alabama.

Plastic model was sports shirt "Fight against pro" Nike as the Crimson Tide dress Saturday when comes to Mississippi State at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Although not as radically different from the regular t-shirt, special version will be in a game worn only has a few subtle deviations.

Most notable is the Strip numbering and leg which pays homage to Bear Bryant favorite Hat helmet.

"Tradition and the classiness makes Alabama what is, but not really does not matter the change," said Ingram."I believe that many of the boys as until now".

One of the other highlights is adorned with the sequence of comandos-A in la Palma Ingram became famous after scoring a touchdown in BCS National Championship Game on January gloves.

The fabric is also lighter other jerseys and a flag of United States is stitched right shoulder to honor veterans of military service. The stars on the flag face forward, by military protocol.

"Linebacker Hightower Dont' of the"is somewhat different, but I'm excited at the same time,"said.""I was eager to a uniform change through the years, so I'm wishing wearing them Saturday."

Ingram Freeway?

The Michigan Senate overwhelmingly passed a resolution last week to rename a section of a State Highway near House of Ingram running Alabama back then.

The M-21 Highway near Flint, Michigan, could soon be called the "V. Mark Ingram Freeway II": If Bill gets support from Michigan House and the Governor.

"" That is rare, Ingram said, smiling wide.""Could go home and travel on my own autopista.Es madness."

Richardson's update

Running back Trent Richardson was limited in practice for the second consecutive day Tuesday after suffering a minor knee injury without specifying Saturday at LSU.

He was not wearing the black shirt of no contact during the display of the media, but it was not practiced in full force.

"" He goes out, walk around and bicycle rides and things as well, "said Ingram.""He is only trying to get aflojado."

So will he play Saturday against the State of Mississippi?

"" Unsure", said Ingram.""Is he and the training of personnel."

Alabama football notes: Crimson Tide used to prepare for two quarterbacks, so juego-no planning large LSU thing

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama: Alabama again faces an opponent that you plan to use more than one day of play quarterback.

This season, only Arkansas entered the game without the possibility of launching a second quarterback Alabama form at any time in the game, injuries of restriction.

No. 12 LSU has Jordan Jefferson as more of a threat of execution and Jarrett Lee as a classic Pocket passer.None has been too successful launching the ball as the Tigers spend ranks last in the SEC and 113 offense nationwide, with an average surface yards per game.

"" I believe that you will see both quarterbacks to play,"said coach Les Miles LSU.""I think that you for which we play better, both quarterbacks have to do the things we can do and do it bien.estamos at our best when we're launching and captures... and leave to the quarterback to run with the football to been veces.Ha the best recipe for us".

Preparation for two styles is becoming a habit for the defense of tide that leads the Conference and ranks second nationally in points allowed with 12.5 rebounds.

Alabama linebacker Dont' Hightower says that he doesn't have a preference for each style.

When we are faced with Jefferson, preventing the quarterback finding open field is the key, he said.

"He is a talented athlete," said Hightower. "He has trouble sometimes hit open receivers, so you will have to take and use to our advantage." Another quarterback is the total opposite. "It is not a very good, not very mobile, but has high accuracy and a large arm".

«Such a worm»

Marcell Dareus delivered on Wednesday when it comes to the difficulty to deal with Trent Richardson week quote.

Its power and size makes toppling the running back student of second year of a difficult process.

"It is a worm that, said defensive end."Is a little powerhouse."It is like trying to tackle a stump shortly."He hit so hard hole, then grabs him, and he will find wiggle fuera.Para he is somehow so thick, it can still wiggling shortly to poco.Una time you get a good grip on it, all the difficult wiggling.Es stops but there are ways to get you down."

Although Richardson style is usually compared with the backfield mate Mark Ingram, Dareus sees differences.

"" "To be honest, I think that they have two completely different playing styles, said Dareus."Mark continues its blocks, and he sits behind the O and then estalla.Trent line is more than a poder.Mark corridor is power and finesse, Trent can do the same things, but Trent is more power...."Bruise likes people with his cuerpo.Él can take licks that I do not think that you can mark and mark can do things that cannot be Trent, but is two totally different runners".

Alabama football notes: Crimson Tide vs. LSU divides Neighbors

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama neighborhood family has a long line of football players who came in Tuscaloosa.
Do not include the Connor neighbours.
The grandson of Billy, son of Wes neighbours and brother of current of Crimson Tide junior Wesley Neighbors, Connor neighbours is a rookie running back in LSU.Eso means the game Saturday in Baton Rouge will be especially interesting after a clumsy weekend at home.
With both brothers enjoys a bye week, Wesley Connor drove home from the airport without saying much.
"" Both we went home last week and was really a week of silence,"said Wesley, a graduate of Huntsville High together with his brother."It was a quiet week end.In general, my dad is coming and asking, ' what is happening?«How are doing in practice?»"This week at the dinner table, nothing is said."
Leaving from a host of scolding of injuries, including a pinched nerve and a fracture in his right foot, Wesley must be in full force at Tiger.Como Stadium a special teamer, has five tackles nombre.Connor, 237-pound running back, does not yet have a scree slope.
Grow, everything was a competition between the brothers, who still usually speak once a week, when not face each other.
"" My father would be the quarterback, and would face to face in the front yard,"said Wesley"."We want to literally five minutes that you have to go inside and be in timeout because we started fights - every little thing."
Barron a Semifinalist
Safety of tide Mark Barron was named a semi-finalist for the Jim Thorpe award on Tuesday.
Award of honour to the part superior defensive nation back is up to 10 also includes LSU group cornerback Patrick Peterson.
""Mark is basically the brains of high school,"said fellow defensive back Phelon Jones.""So that if someone does not know what to do, or arrive in training that we have not practised, everyone seems on frameworks".

Alabama football: Alfred McCullough goes from right offensive tackle utility man

Red tide focuses on best practice habits
By MICHAEL CASAGRANDE
Special Ledger-Enquirer
TUSCALOOSA, wing.-Missed tackles.
Assignments of blowing.
Expensive fines set.
The broken foundations that large scale for the defense of Alabama. Therefore practice this week has been a mixture of two days and game preparation for the Saturday 9 9 of the PM evening visits Mississippi.
For a program and a drive that prides itself on mastering the basics, have failures contribute in large part to 35-21 in South Carolina last Saturday's loss has players and coaches looking for answers.
Make no mistake: malpractice in weeks habits are a main culprit, said.
"" There are some basic things you can never get away,"said coach Nick Saban."…In spite of not to meet everyone and bring them to the Earth (in practice), you must get into the correct position thud boy and the hips and do all those things. As well, we have towards and towards and envelope our guys long throughout the year to finish, you know, terminar.Thud the corredor.Acabado.Hacer what you are supposed to do. what well, we did that great as a team, what happens in the game? "We started losing tackles."
Aspirations are particularly damaging in the backfield against South Carolina.
Saban noted the fourth-and-2 in the first quarter when Alabama seemed Gamecocks quarterback Stephen Garcia is confined in the backfield. But García break it off the left side of the scrum contain where was blowing, and a first down kept business unit. One suit later, a touchdown pass South Carolina gave a 14-3 lead.
It is more important than any other factor in a tackle body positioning.
"I mean, we get ahead of them, the corridor of squaring and only thud them up instead of just taking them to the ground," nose guard said Josh Chapman.
Since learned how more difficult with the first defeat in 19 games Saban said players are now willing to correct the problems that existed prior to travel to Colombia last week.
Another matter requiring attention involves over-aggressive anticipation of the counts of adjustment. In six games this season, Alabama has been marked 11 times for jump racing. At this point in the season a year ago, Alabama defenders had a single flag set and finished the season with only five in total.
While some of the indicators this year were charged to special teams, most belong to the line of Defense, including three of the four tormented in the four Sur.Dos Carolina arrived in units of touchdown, while the former was rejected because succeeded to first move the Gamecocks touchdown.
"It is disciplined," said defensive end Marcell Dareus, who jumped on the line of scrimmage twice against Florida.""We must work on ello.Es something you do not need to be ocurriendo.Trabajamos that in practice (defensive line) (Bo) coach Davis, is discipline justa.Tenemos work on this."
Now with a team of Mississippi who likes to run the option to arrive at Bryant-Denny Stadium, discipline will be needed more than ever for the defense of such radical marea.Ajustes compete with fundamental reminders in practice.
The rudder is quarterback Jeremiah Masoli, Oregon, which may be the worst nightmare of a tackler unstable transfer.
""The man has a great feeling to run the offense is running now, which is more than one offence of Oregon, style"Saban Masoli said.""Still has a lot of the typical Houston Nutt things that have made - down the Hill, runs the power, but the option of the same, the boy is extremely rápido.Él is physical as a corredor.Es a good lanzador.Él is a good climber and works by launching as a mountaineer, so it is probably the best type of combination we have seen for a while."
