Alabama Crimson Tide - a College Football dynasty


The Alabama Crimson Tide has been a dynasty of college football for years. Alabama is known to always be one of the teams at the forefront of college football. From the day of Paul "bear" Bryant for the current year 2010. It doesn't matter because it is always a team to be considered a factor in the national title game almost every season. Alabama is one of the most talked about & adorned of football in the history of college football programs. Alabama football program began in 1892. From that moment the Crimson Tide has listed 13 national championships. Alabama currently plays in the SEC Conference & was also a former member of the South Conference(So-Con).

Bear Bryant coached the Crimson Tide since 1958-1982. During his tenure, Bryant won 6 national titles. His record as a coach during those years was a whopping 232-46-9. Paul "bear" Bryant is probably the largest in the history of Alabama coach. Stadium(Bryant-Denny) team of it is named in his honor. The most dominant while coach Bryant was between 1970-1979.During now Bryant won 8 titles of Conference & 3 National Championships. Also brought 13 titles of Conference & 11 WINS Bowl. The off-season 25 spent in Alabama Bear Bryant lead the school to 24 bowl games. This is the good.The pretty darn endgame coached Bryant came in the Bowl of the freedom of 1982.His last match was another victory by defeating the Illinois 21 - time 15.Una retired from college football, unfortunately, too coach Bryant had died 4 weeks after a heart attack.

Bear Bryant left school Ray Perkins took a time at the helm. The first year of Perkins was solid with a 7-4 record with a victory in the Sun Bowl over SMU. However, his second year was one not remembering. The Crimson Tide was 5-6.This was the first losing season tide in 28 years. Perkins followed with successful seasons until they decided to leave the program for the NFL & the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bill Curry, then took 3 winning seasons before due to the stress with the academic Department of Alabama.

From 1990-1996 Gene Stalling was head coach. The tide was 7-5 in the first season with a loss of Bowl game to Louisville. The following season was a great. Alabama was 11-1, with only a loss to Florida. The tide beat Colorado in the bowl of Blockbuster 30-25. Stalling out with successful seasons until he decided to retire after the 1996 campaign.There was a dark spot during training days in Alabama aunque.Alabama was forced to vacate 8 victories of the 1993 season. This was due to a previous player (Antonio Langham) violated NCAA rules. Had signed the previous year, which is a violation of the rules with a pro sports agent.

Since the late 1990s, Alabama has been through a few head coaches. Frank DuBose took over from 1997-2000.There were three seasons solids, including a Championship sec 1999.Sin however, with high expectations in the year 2000 the tide had a record of 3-8. After the season 2000 DuBose was replaced by Dennis Franchione. Its mandate was short with only 2 years at the helm despite that he take to school to win seasons two years. Franchione left Alabama A & m in Texas.

In 2002, Mike Price was introduced as head coach head.Its mandate was even shorter when it was dismissed in the middle of a scandal after only one year.Mike Shula(son_of_former_coaching_great_Don_Shula) too in coming in 2003.From 2003-2006 Shula compiled a record 26-23, including a season 10-2 in 2005.In 2006, the team struggled with a record 6-6.Este Shula cable being fired.In 2007, Alabama hired to coach Nick Sabin of the famed & well conocido.Ya taking the programme Sabin as it has won a national championship in 2010 by defeating Texas BCS.Hasta Championship game time in three seasons Sabin has a record of 33-8 with an SEC & more nacional.Muchos Championship could be come with this great coach.
