While the game a day can generate most of the attention, without a doubt, the second entry of the spring is the most important practice of any practice of spring. Allow space for the progress of the first scrimmage while not be moderated for the structure of fan-friendly game a day, the second annotation offers the best opportunity to show the development as a whole and for individual players to stand out from the crowd. To do so, the good news today is that as a whole Nick Saban seemed relatively satisfied with the performance of the team and the progress made.

Is still the major focus in the battle of Marshal field between A.J. McCarron and Phillip Sims, and once again the two fought a proverbial drawing, with McCarron going 19-40 for 255 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions, while Sims recorded a final line of 19-34 for 214un touchdown and one interception. Completion rates were not as high as hoped, but he spoke highly of Saban of the work of both players, and both players had a touchdown long pass each. Sims threw an interception returned for a touchdown by Will Lowery, but however general neither of them have been able to significantly distinguish themselves from others, and does not appear as holder will be appointed soon.

At the receiver, Darius Hanks led the way with six catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns, and "redshirt" freshman DeAndrew White attracted praise from Saban in the post-scrimmage press conference after grabbing five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown. Unfortunately, Saban was not pleased with the development of the host body after the annotation and only three receptors was shown in the statistics released by UA media relations staff (Marquis Maze is another receiver). Combine the complaints on the wide receivers with the praise of the quarterbacks, and it can be reasonably assumed that the receiver can be the scapegoat for McCarron and Sims combined to complete just 51% of his pass attempts.

Trent Richardson is still the workhorse at tailback, and it is not surprising that Saban had nothing but brilliant things to say about him after the annotation. Its raw rushing statistics were not too impressive, but he stood out as a recipient of the backfield. Meanwhile, Eddie Lacy was not as productive as it was a week ago, but for the second scrimmage in a row Demetrius Goode was not presented in stat line. Once again, Dee Hart saw several carries, a telling sign that is making a case early to play time in 2011. And speaking of today make a case for time, Jalston Fowler scored a pair of touchdowns on short yardage situations, so it can be seen a role as a short-yardage specialist in 2011.

Meanwhile, on the defensive side of the ball, Dont' Hightower and Courtney Upshaw stole the show, combining of seventeen tackles in four TFL and two sacks. Hightower led the defense with 10 tackles, and it seems as if both can stay healthy could have highly productive campaigns of 2011. In particular, General Hightower seems a different player who made a year ago. Also, speaking of linebackers, Trey DePriest continues to impress in his debut, and while the depth inside linebacker will be hard to beat, he looks ready to save time of game as a backup and special teams.

On the defensive line, marked Quinton still significant if any time playing with a performance that four tackles and a tackle for a loss. Also, Ed Stinson appears to be making the transition from Jack linebacker to defensive end with relative ease, and Darrington Sentimore seem to be on his way to win a role in the package of rabbit. In general, however, the performance of the defensive line is still a bit of a mixed proposal. Little, if anything, said Josh Chapman or Jesse Williams, and the general concern is that the performance of this unit be below what their gross talents could indicate otherwise.

In the defensive backfield, it is safe to assume that Robert Lester received the message of his demotion, as he responded with six tackles, a tackle for loss and a scrapped pass. However, apart from rebound of Lester, injuries remain a problem. Mark Barron participated today, shedding the black shirt, contactless, Dre Kirkpatrick was held due to a thumb injury but Jarrick Williams and Nick Perry remain in black t-shirts. Of as a result, while the performance of Lester and the return of Barron are encouraging, it is difficult to assess the progress of the backfield defensive with injuries keep so many players out.

Finally, with the second score, Alabama is over twelve practices this spring and there are only three sessions of practice. ' Bama return to practice on Tuesday before having a tutorial ending Friday in anticipation of the game one day a week from today.
